Another year has gone by and let's all be thankful for the challenges and blessings we received last year. Like what most people say, let's start the year right!
For me, I'll start my blog featuring my favorite... C.O.F.F.E.E.
Starbucks' secret recipe is not a secret anymore. A lot of people are starting to demand those out - of - this world concoction and ideas from the website http://starbuckssecretmenu.net/ thanks to the contributors, they gave the customers another alternative to enjoy their favorite cup of joe.
Now here is my take on the secret recipe craze.
I call it, White Chocolate Macchiato.
Getting the concept from latte macchiato which is milk "stained" with espresso, I can say that this cup is heaven. You will first taste the creaminess of white chocolate and milk then the strong coffee will perk up your mood. I still love my caramel macchiato, but this gave me another option to enjoy.
They use the upside down arrow to indicate my request. When I was a barista before in SB, I usually get the ↑↓ with frappuccino drinks. (if you can't find the chocolate powder beside the milk carafe, you can ask your barista to just add it with the whip cream -- its for free)
After work, I decided to reward myself with free cheesecake... Free?!? yes! thanks to munchpunch, they got VIP deals where you can get freebies, upgrades from food establishments. Good thing Espressamente Illy got a deal whenever you buy a grande americano or grande cappuccino, you'll get a free cheesecake -- nice deal right?
There's no Illy kiosk available in Eastwood Libis so I decided to visit Shangri la in Mandaluyong to get my cup of coffee. Illy is on top of my list followed by UCC and Starbucks but since SB is the only available coffee shop in the metro, I got no other choice.
For 155php, you'll get a biscotti (its not hard as rock) and a cup of handcrafted coffee made carefully by their barista. The free cheesecake (yes, I repeat it was free haha) was awesome and you will definitely ask for more. Espressamente Illy got 3 couches where you can relax if you want some peace of mind or you just want to unwind. Located at the 2nd floor Shangri la mall, near Marks and Spencer.
Give yourself a break and have a cup of good coffee.
“As long as there was coffee in the world, how bad could things be?”
